Poseidon wanted to have carnal relations with Medusa but Medusa was a priestess in the temple of Athena, a maiden god. As such, all of her priestess were also expected to be maidens. Poseidon disregarded this and raped Medusa within the temple walls. Athena was infuriated but could not take her vengeance on Poseidon so instead she turned Medusa into a gorgon. Medusa was essentially punished for being raped.
Polydectes sent him because he wanted to marry his mother Danae.
Athena cursed medusa because Medusa was a priestess at Athenas temple. Being a priestess for athena includes many things but the biggest one was remaining a virgin. However, medusa was veery beautiful and Posiden fell in love with her and wanted to have sex with her. She refused but he wouldn't take no for an answer and he raped her. Athena heard that Medusa was no longer a virgin and cursed her.
The Greek hero Perseus was the one who beheaded Medusa. He went to her island while she was asleep and moved her snakes of hair out of the way and then chopped her head off. Medusa was dead but he snakes weren't so he had to be careful when putting them in the bag.
Athena punished Medusa because Medusa thought she was better and more beautiful than the ancient Greek god so Athena cursed Medusa. However, there are many different versions of this story. Another one is : Medusa wanted to be the Queen of something, ( queen of the seas is my guess. ) So, she planned on ruling all of it by herself. So she put Poseidon in chains ( because when a god is in chains, all of their power is lost. Of course until they are released. ) and hid him. Soon, Athena found out, and punished her. BTW Medusa was very beautiful. This story is like Andromeda. ( I recommend learning about it )
Zeus never wanted to marry Medusa; Medusa had a relationship with Poseidon in Athena's temple.
no they did not
love is what she wanted
It was that she always wanted something that she wanted
Medusa is a Gorgon and Gorgon's are monster's. Monsters they don't die they disintegrate and reform and Medusa's parents are dead.
medusa felt disgusting and she no longer felt beautiful and she wanted revenge on all men because one, a god who was a male, raped her, and she wanted revenge.
Yes, Medusa was cursed from the goddess called Athena. Athena got jealous from medusa's beauty because everyone wanted Medusa. Athena decided to curse Medusa. Now Medusa is a monster and has snakes for hair, Medusa got cursed so badly that Athena made the curse that if anyone looks at medusa will turn to stone. This teaches every god not to ever look at Medusa's face and or never to get interested in her.
He wanted to annoy the gods.

Medusa was in a relationship with Poseidon long ago. They got caught together in Athenas temple and Athena found this disrespectful. She turned Medusa and her 2 sisters into the gorgons and Poseidon no longer saw her. When Annabeth and Percy found her she wanted to kill Annabeth because she reminded Medusa of Athena who she holds a grudge against. Percy, however reminded her of Poseidon so she wanted to preserve him as a statue forever. Hope this helped :)
