odysseus`s crew
Odysseus is known to us only as a character in the Greek epic poems Iliad and Odyssey, which tell the story of the Trojan War and its aftermath. Scholars are not in agreement over whether the Trojan War was an actual historical event, but if it was, archaeological evidence and cultural references in the poems themselves seem to indicate a date sometime in the 1200's B.C.
The goddess of flashing eyes Athena, assists Odysseus on his trips and has a habit of showing up randomly to help him. for example Athena distracts Penlope when Odysseus returns home.

This depends on which men you are talking about. Most of the men Odysseus kills, he kills in war against the Trojans. Odysseus kills many fellow Ithacans for wooing his wife Penelope. There are also many men that Odysseus 'sacrifices', such as the 6 men he loses to Scylla.

odysseus is an epic hero because he created the plan to end the 10 year trojan war, he was able to overcome many obsticles on his way home from the trojan war ( his voyage lasted 10 years because posiden got mad at him for stabbing his son in his eye, his son(s) is a cyclops, and made travel really hard), he is courageous and strong and he has a mortal weakness.
When Odysseus left for Troy he was newly wed to Penelope and was in his mid 20's.
