The SS stamp on an old ring stands for sterling silver. This means the ring is made of sterling silver. Any number provided with the symbol could mean plating as well.

Unless there are specific hallmarks on the inside of the ring, there really is no way to tell. There may be clues based on the style, but that is not definitive.
It doesnt mean anything. It could mean that your boyfriend is dead and he is trying to tell you to take that ring off and find someone else... maybe idk :)
Given the description from the previous edit "I broke a chunk of gold of my ring when wearing it. Does this mean anything? It is an old ring, 3 generations" The ring probably broke simply because it was old. While gold is durable the ring was probably subjected to a fair deal of wear and tear over the course of three generations. Perhaps there was even a flaw or weakness in the metal from when it was first made into a ring.

The wires are not connected, are severed, or your phone company changed the network. My old 500 rotary att did not ring, so i moved 2 wires inside
Galadriel is searching the deepest and darkest corners of their hearts and tempting them with what they desire most. She does this to perceive who is true to Frodo and who is not. Although Boromir refuses her temptation, still she sees that deep inside him is a lust for the Ring, like there was inside Isildur of old. The rest of the Company is true to the Ring-bearer.
