Nestor is the son of Neleus and Chloris in Greek mythology. He was also the King of Pylos. He was an argonaut and fought alongside his sons in the Trojan war. He is mentioned in the Iliad and was an advisor to Agamemnon and Achilles.
He was friends with the other greek Kings involved in the Trojan War -- Nestor, Menelaus, Agamemnon, Achilles, Ajax.....etc. Odysseus was friends with his shipmates -- Eurylochos, Polites, Elpenor. Athena is his patron-goddess and aids him with her powers. His servants love him -- the nursemaid, Eurykleia, Philoitios the oxherd and the swineherd Eumaios.
In order to console Agamemnon, Odysseus turned his ships back towards Troy. This is when he and Nestor parted company.
He tells Athena. He follows Athena at a distance. He repeats Athena's prayer-word for word.
Achilles
athena did give him back his spear when he threw it at hector who successfully dodged it. but the main help athena gave him was when hector, fearful of achilles's rage, fleed from achilles and ran around troy's wall three times. when they were running around troy for the 4th time, athena persuaded hector to stop the chase and face achilles in war

Nestor tells Achilles and Agamemnon that it is sad to see the Greeks divided and that they should pay attention to his wise words. He tells Achilles that he should not think he can fight against a king and that Agamemnon is greater than he is because he rules over more people. He then tells Agamemnon that even though he is powerful, he should not take Briseis because the Greeks gave her to Achilles as his prize of honor.
The cyclops Polyphemus is not, no. But someone else named Polyphemus is. Godlike Polyphemus is mentioned by Nestor in his speech to Agamemnon and Achilles in Book 1 (Line 264). This is possibly the Polyphemus who is an Argonaut. It is probably not the cyclops.

In Troy, it's the Trojans. Aeneas led the remaining Trojans to Carthage then Italy. On the Greek Side, there were many heros, The biggest one would be Achilles. (Demigod, dipped in the River of Styx, thus, the only spot that could kill him was his heel.) Others include the witty Odysseus (led to the Odessy, his journey of returning home to ithica.) Others Ajax Meleneus Agamemnon Diomedes Nestor etc.
