How did the Aztecs ruler treat them?

Well to us quite badly. They sacrificed peoples hearts for there gods as they thought when the sun went down it would never come back up. So they sacrificed a new heart everyday to keep the sun coming up. Children were also treated badly.

Aztec children had a hard life. Loads of punishment and pain. For one, girls had to get thrown into wells at dawn to speak to Aztec gods, normally the depth of these wells would be 20 metres deep. At noon they would take her out (if she hadn't drowned) for her to tell the Aztecs what the gods told her and what ever she said everyone believed. More info on children of the Aztecs. Boys were taught by there fathers until they were 10 years old and then they were sent to school where they learned about religion and got military training. Girls sometimes went to school but very rarely. Normally they would just stay home and learn every day skills such as sewing, cleaning and things that were important to everyday life by there mothers.

Newborn babies got it to. When they were born they had there hands tied up and there feet together as well to keep there soul inside. They were neglected while tied up so evil spirits wouldn't attack the baby.

Broad heads were common with the Aztecs and parents didn't want there children to be common. So when they were born the got two pieces of wood and tied it on either side of the babies head to make it thinner, for at least 2 days.

So if broad heads were common people made there children's heads thinner, but other Aztecs thought that was getting common too so the bandaged there babies head to make it egg shaped.

Cross eyed kids are cute. Who says? The Aztecs. They also tied a piece of wax in front of the baby or Child's head on there head board (remember to make there heads thinner) or a lock of there hair happening to fall over there eyes.

Children were sent to collects mud wasp nests. The mud wasps larva were heated until the sweating maggots came wriggling out ad they ate them.

Children were punished back then by getting hung over a fire with added chillies t make it extra nippy for the eyes.
