Yes, Greek is read from left to right. The Greek alphabet is comprised of 24 letters, and it follows the same directional flow as the English language.
English is written with the Roman Script, which goes from left to right, so naturally English is written in that direction. As a historical issue, the earliest alphabets (like the Phoenician, Hebraic, Hittite, etc.) were all right-to-left alphabets. The first major left-to-right alphabet was the Greek alphabet which was realigned to favor right-handed scribes who would no longer have to smudge their writing. Since the Roman alphabet was derived from the Greek alphabet, it copied its left-to-right form.
The left-to-right orientation of English stems from Greek, which chose this orientation after developing the alphabet from the Phoenicians.
The swastika is sometimes referred to as a gammadion because of its resemblance to the Greek letter gamma (Γ) when it is rotated. The term "gammadion" comes from the Greek word "gamma," which is the third letter in the Greek alphabet.

There is no Q in the ancient greek alphabet. There was a qoppa, but it was an allophone for kappa - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qoppa I am doing a project for school right now on Ancient Greece. We have to have a word for each letter of the alphabet. For "Q" I put quail. The Greek god Hephaestus's' favorite bird was the quail. There are not any other words involved with Ancient Greece that start with "Q". I hope this helped you.
