They felt isolated from England and increasingly drifted away from them. Mass Propaganda from Revolutionaries also began to make the public believe the British Crown was screwing them over. Ironically enough, they always complained about "taxation without representation", yet if they had been given the opportunity to serve in the British Parliament, they would have declined the offer.

Britain began imposing heavy taxes on America.

At the time Britain, France, and Spain were not best buddies.

Britain needed a strong military force, to repel these European 'johnny come

latelys.'

Unfortunately, the people of Americe didn't see it that way, and took

up arms against Britain.

Britain lost that one, but hoped America would step up and improve the world.

Two hundred years later they came up with "The Simpsons"

All was forgiven.

They rebelled because they wanted the rights of the englishmen! But Great Britain, just used then in a way that suited the crown and parliment.
