there is no such thing as a one party system, this is what we refer to as a dictatorship.
single-party
A divided party government occurs when one party is in the presidency and the other controls one or both chambers of Congress. Because in a divided government one party can check the other's agenda, it is exceedingly difficult for a party to carry out its policies. Divided party governments in modern times have affected voter behaviors. The inability of a party to bring its promises to fruition has contributed to voter disillusionment in the democratic system, decreasing trust and confidence in government.
Bi-partisan politics offers representative government that focuses on the best interest of constituency as a whole. The two party system found in the United States, leads to moral and ethical differences in belief that help form competition. Competition is important because each side is working to better the deal for themselves and there for their constituency. In a one party system, the government tends to be more efficient due to the lack of disagreement among party members. This lack of disagreement leads to faster passage of bills and laws, different from the system of one party rule.

A Monarchy Government
One arrangement is that the party with the most elected representatives, as chosen by the democratic vote of the people, has the responsibility of forming a government, but this system may differ in different countries, depending on their respective laws of government.
In democratic countries, there are generally two type of party systems. If there are two main parties in a country, it is called a bi party system. The bi party system prevails in Englan and USA. In England the two main parties are the Conservative Party and the Labour Party. In USA the two main parties are the Republican Party and the Democratic Party. The bi party system is regarded as the best party system for democratic countries. This system has the following advantages: (1) The Government is more stable under this because one party gets the absolute majority while the other acts an oppoisition party. (2) This system puts forward a clear programme of the two parties before the voters who know for certain for which policies they are voting. (3) the policy of the government is more consistent and permanent under this system because the government is more or less stable.

A one-party system is a political system where only one political party is allowed to exist and hold power, often associated with authoritarian regimes. On the other hand, the Westminster model of government is a democratic system with multiple political parties where the party with the majority in parliament forms the government and the leader of that party becomes the head of government.
The worst idea ever. In a one party system of government the people would only have one party to choose from. Say like if there were no republicans and only democrats ran for office, that would be a one party system.
the two party system began because the government didnt want one party or system of govrnment to have more power than the other
There was only the Communist Party to choose from which is a example of a one-party system.
Nyerere establishes a one-party system and the critics complained that having just one party system caused corruption in the government.
