Gurkhas or Gorkhas originated in Nepal. The first Gurkhas were the disciples of the Hindu saint Gorkhanath. The original Gurkhas are from Middle Class Nepal, namely the Clans of Tamang, Gurung, Rai, Limbu, Magar and Newar. Amongst all the popular knives like bowie knife, stiletto, kukri knives are also not behind. Kukri is a medium-length curved knife and each gurkha soldier carries with him in uniform and in battle.
