the federal and state governmernt willing to give land and subsidies to the railroad companies because they had more power
They wanted the government to give WWI veterans a $1,000 bonus.
The people give the government its powers. This is one of the foundational principles of the U.S. Constitution:Limited Government: Since the people give government its power, government itself is limited to the power given to it by them. In other words, the US government does not derive its power from itself. It must follow its own laws and it can only act using powers given to it by the people.

The government encouraged railroad expansion by giving the companies building the transcontinental railways, a two-mile stretch of land either side of the railroad. Some of the companies profits came from selling this land.

i don't knowi don't know that's why i am asking youbecause i though youare going to give me theanswer
There are a few reasons why the transcontinental railroad was built. One reason was to transport goods and people across the country more efficiently. Before the transcontinental railroad was built, people and goods had to be transported by wagon, which was a slow and difficult process. The transcontinental railroad made it possible to transport goods and people much more quickly and easily. Another reason why the transcontinental railroad was built was to improve communication between the east and west coasts of the United States. Before the transcontinental railroad was built, communication between the east and west coasts was slow and difficult. The transcontinental railroad made it possible for people to communicate more quickly and easily. The transcontinental railroad was also built to help the United States government keep the peace between the Native Americans and the settlers. The transcontinental railroad made it possible for the government to send troops and supplies quickly and easily to the west coast, which helped to keep the peace.
Yes many Cherokee Indians were killed after refusing to give up their land to the builders of the transcontinental. they had to move away and they had to fight for their lives.:(
this is because the transcontinental railroad would connect the east and west. This would encourage people to settle west and develop the land there. The government lent the Union Pacific and the Central Pacific railroad companies millions of dollars to build the transcontinental railroad.Hope this helpedthey could also make profits of the railroad
The Congress granted land grants and financial incentives, such as subsidies and loans, to the Union Pacific and Central Pacific companies to support the construction of the First Transcontinental Railroad in the United States.
yes the government can. if they think they can build or do something better with your land they will. but they wont kick you on the streets. They will give you market price for your land and give you notice to move out. this is called eminent domain. i may be 14 but i know my government.
1. Tax payers are the ones who give money to the government in form of taxes and then the government uses investment banks and bond holders to help campaign contribution to build the prisons.
