The American dream was all about pursuing people to success, although it had no concrete basis. People got impressed with its spirit that anyone, who can work hard shall get success. WWI was also all about success, that is, imperial power. America's getting involved into the WWI proves that the American Dream has clearly to do a lot with WWI.

To create a personal definition of the American Dream you must understand that there could be two answers. The question could be asking to write it in your own words. That would be a case where you would describe the American Dream in terms that you understand the best. The other answer to the question could be more personal where it is more open-ended. It could be asking what is the American Dream for you? Your answer could range from-America is the place where I can become who I want to be-to-America is the place where the ideals of a society built on freedom has become corrupted and the only hope of Americans is to be the best person possible in this situation. It really depends on your own opinion.
