Try having a mechanic inspect your transmission (primary suspect when this happened on my vehicle), plugs and wires, and catalytic converter. I was also told it could have been the fuel pump as well. Only your mechanic will know for sure what the cause is, since there are many things that can cause your car to hesitate.
Problem: 1982 mercury Solution: take to junk yard
No, unless the driver is giving it more gas.
You just press gas pedal :))
Try warming up your car in the driveway for a few minutes before you get on the road. Set the gear to park and press the gas pedal for a minute or two. It should be better. If not, have your car checked out. But it usually works, it definitely works for the Mercedez Benz.
noise and jolting is present whilst car is idolling and accelerating
Frame of reference is the measurement or observation that tells you that a car is accelerating. It uses the second law of motion to tell you rather or not the car is accelerating.
The car is accelerating quickly as it speeds down the highway.
A gas leak with the car sputtering while accelerating could be a hole in the vacuum hose that controls the flow of gasoline out of the tank. This type of leak is usually not caused by the fuel pump itself.

your car might be weak on accelerating because it isn't firing on all cylinders.
if it has a carburetor it is normal
Because the engine need more gas to generate more power, but this is wrong, should not happen......, is a fuel injected car or uses a carburetor ????
