Failure of your heat and/or A/C in your Jeep Grand Cherokee is due to the failure of your blend door. This is a very common problem for these cars as the limit pin on the blend door will break due to excessive force put on it by the motor. It is an inherent design flaw that will eventually happen on all JGC vehicles. The bad news is that the dealership/shop will want around $1200 after all is said and done. The good news is that you can do the repair yourself using an aftermarket kit. This type of fix is not difficult or time consuming...here is a YouTube video on how this process works.
