Yes it will. Howeve,r you need to make sure that you get one with the 4 pin voltage regulator and not the 2 pin. Also you will need a belt that is 1" longer. You can use a Dayco 506096, or a Drive-Rite 960K6 belt. There are probably a ton of other belts, but those are the 2 they sell at my local Advance Auto Parts

Any 4.3 or 2.2 will fit into a S10 regardless of the year But: you must have the Computer and the matching wiring harness or it wont work. Example 4.3 Vortec With the spider intake will not work with a 4.3 regular intake. but will if you get the computer and the wiring kit for the engine
The S-10 Blazer was modified for the model year 2000. The brush guard for the 1997 will not fit on the 2000 without major alterations either to the brush guard or the vehicle.
