No, there is no information suggests that a 1996 Buick Century 231 will fit into a 1999 Chevy Lumina.
The 99 Buick Century 231 engine will fit into a 96 Chevy lumina with a little fabrication.

165432 good luck
If it is a 231 V6 it is located inside of where the fuel line connects to the carburetor.

Not exactly sure but I have a 1979 LeMans with the 231 V6 and I believe the PCV to be a vertical silver-colored valve located at the back of the intake manifold below and behind the carburetor.
yes you do there are pics out there the show the correct mounting holes to use
It should fit. You see, a 231 6 cylinder is a shortened 350 V8. GM engineers simply cut 2 cylinders off the 350's block to make the block for some of their 6 cylinders (the 225, the 231 and the 234). The 231's were used in Buicks, mostly. no way the Buick 231 has a completely different bell housing bolt pattern, but don't take my word for it, fust look at the top of the bell housing on the motor and trans, the Buick comes to a point in the middle and the Chevy is flat. although they are both gm products the buicks and chevys are not interchangable, sorry
using number one plug as front drivers side my 6 cylinder firing order is 1, 6, 3, 5, 2, 4. My engine is out of a 69 Pontiac Sunbird but I believe it is the same as the Buick engine.
231" Buick 305" Chevy 350" Chevy 383" stroker 400" small block 454" Chevy 455" Buick olds Pontiac 501" cadi out of a early to mid 70's coupe or sedan 502" Chevy 501" cadi out of a early to mid 70's coupe or sedan is the best choice, bare bones stock it puts out 500' pounds of torque and 500 horse and without doing too much work to them you can get 1000+ horse out of them!!!!
I have a 1969 Jeepster Commando with a Buick 225 V6, the forerunner to the legendary Buick 231 V6 still used today, with a Duetsch D431 oil filter. It will probably fit any Buick V6 ever made.
If it's the Buick 231 V-6 the firing order should be 1-6-5-4-3-2. If you're running a Chevy 305 it will be 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. And if you have the rare California-only Chevy 350 the firing order will be the same as for the 305.
