try increasing the idle. could also be tranny probs...not allowing tranny to go into neutral when coming to a stop.......common with jeep tranny's
just go buy tranny fluid
i have a 97 lumina the tranny slips form 2 to 3rd or when you try to go faster is there bands that can just be adjusted???????? or if the tranny going out
there isn't one...go under the car in the back by the tranny and there should be a bolt or i think its a plastic plug thing and you have to stick your finger in there and feel it
No, but if you change the bracket that the tranny bolts to it will its going to cost about 1500 for everything you got to change the flywheel and possible the motor mounts because the tranny is bigger from 94 than 88 but if you got money go for best bet is to go to summit and buy a aftermarket tranny for about 950 ok i hope i helped
please be more specific. does the engine rev up but the vehicle does not move? you will need to have the tranny rebuilt.well, pretty much anything that has to do with a vehicle not moving when it's supposed to will mean tranny problems!
absolutely not. not without some kind of mods and all of the wiring harnesses and computers. also the tranny would have to go with the motor as the ECU must connect to both the tranny and engine to function properly.
If you go in the trunk and lift up the carpet on the passangerscside there is a paper yhst says the tranny code.
There are three connections on the AX-15 if those connections are available one 90 jeep then go ahead and swap.
Maybe if you're lucky it'll be something simple. Perhaps a loose engine or tranny mount is allowing powertrain parts to seperate.
my tranny sometimes goes in neutral
Go to your local junkyard or salvage parts yard. Most have a "you pull it" policy, which will save you a bunch.
