It could be 1 or 2 things, or a combo of both. First of all a tune-up is defineately needed. Plugs, wires, dist. cap if you have one, and make sure the timing is set properly. A clogged fuel filter will make it run rough or shake when starting out. And you should check your motor mounts. Broken or badly worn out mounts will cause engine vibration upon acc. or take off.

check motor mounts
Engine mounts
You may need rotors
Engine miss or rough idle, or broken motor mount
I would suspect warped rotors.
Several things can cause your car to stall and shake when you stop. Replacing the spark plugs and spark plug wires may cure the problem.
I would check your tires they could be out of balance. or a tire could be bad .
Cylinder miss, broken motor mount, or vacuum leak.
A stop- Rotor out of round, possibly bad wheel bearing.
If a car shakes at stop light like it is going to shut off, this is probably caused by the AC compressor. To check on this, turn of the climate control and see if it goes away.
I would first look for a vacuum leak.
Timing belt was installed incorrect and engine is out of time.
