It could worn out wheel bearing.
There might be a squeaking noise when driving slow in your 2000 Beetle because your suspension needs to be replaced. The squeaking can also come from the universal joint.
Possibly, the ball joint is bad or a bad strut, but I would have the ball joint checked first.
A ball joint going bad.
yes i had mind done for £100 but they have to replace the driver shaft aswell
Worn brake pads? Bad CV joint? Bad strut mount bearing? Worn tie rod end? Bad ball joint?
Probably a bad u-joint.
The CV joint boot is bad, and needs to be replaced.
The drive shaft universal joint is the most likely culprit. I'd suggest changing both the front and back joints.
Possible failed u-joint.
