Could be a couple of things. If none of your turn signals work, the flasher has
probably died.
Try turning on your 4 way (emergency) lights. Do they all work? If so, the bulbs
should be OK.
There are usually two flashers, one for the turn signals and another for the 4 ways. While you're changing one, you might as well change the other one at the same time.
I can't tell you exactly where the flashers are located in your car. You've posted to the Sunfire group but there was not a '92 Sunfire. If you pick up a Haynes or Chilton manual for your exact model and year, it will tell you how to change the flashers.
Check fuses, and for the blinkers, check also the flasher relay.
you dont! it has to be in the off position
Start with the fuses, then check the bulbs, then start tracing wires.
I am currently having the same problem you are having check the fuse to see if it is blown the blinkers and brake lights are on the same fuse my system has a short in it somewhere and is popping the fuses I am in the process of running new wires since the wonderful people at Chevy ran all the wires thru the frame and you can't access them
