Typically this is caused by either an engine thermostat that is stuck closed or a radiator that is bad and needs re-cored. With the engine running and radiator cap off and engine warmed up to normal operating temperature or above, look in the radiator for coolant movement. If you see it flowing, have the radiator repaired or replaced. It,s important to remove the cap prior to warming it up to prevent injury from hot coolant under pressure.
