Could be bad throttle body assembly Hello, My '05 Pacifica gas pedal would stick at the top when I would release the gas pedal and I would have to almost "slap" it with my foot to get it to go back down. I oiled the cable at both ends and even tried never seize. I also sprayed the gas pedal where it hinges with WD-40. It seems pretty good right now, But I seemed to notice that it was worse when the weather was hotter. I'll see how it does when the warmer weather comes. I don't know if yours is sticking like that. I hope this is helpfull ....... The inside of the throttle body carbons up, and the throttle plate sticks. You need to clean or have the throttle body cleaned. To clean the throttle body you need to remove the air cleaner hose, spray a shop towel with carb cleaner, hold the throttle open(engine off) and wipe the inside of the throttle body. This is normal both of mine do this have someone hold the throttle open and spray with cleaner and use brush to clean it off around the throttle plate I do this once a year on both of mine
