Because they are recycled Maytag washing machines. No honestly I been trying to figure that out myself, I have been working on cars for the last 17 years, I have seen a lot of Fords rust out. Things like spring shackles, fuel lines, brake lines, oil pans, diff covers. I thought it was because of the salt belt, but i have family in other part of country and they say they still have same conditions.
