the fuel pump on most cars with fuel injection is a electric fuel pump inside the fuel tank
on cars that run with fuel injection it would be the fuel pump, or high performance cars that use electric fuel pumps.
It easily supplied enough fuel pressure for fuel injection. It also reduced parasitic drag, improving fuel economy.
first efi was 1966, but was not perfected or put into use until much later. the fuel injection on cars to day is port injection, before that was bank injection, throttle body injection, the vortec.

IT has electric fuel injection there is an fsd module (Fuel Solenoid Driver) sitting in the v of the motor. I'm guessing its the 6.5 Detroit.
"Hyundai Accent cars are not electrically powered, rather they run on the standard gasoline fuel injection system. Some of the newest electric cars include the Chevy Volt and some Volvos."

Most newer cars come with fuel injection and most if not all cars now have the electric fuel pump mounted in the gas tank. Some fuel pumps are accessable through the trunk of the car and on some cars you need to remove the gas tank from the car to get to the fuel pump.
