Took me forever to find it on my 84 xj6. It's in between the battery and passenger side wing (fender). It's hard to find because it doesn't really look like its connected to the wipers except for a tube going into the firewall. You can see it with the battery installed but it's much easier to see it and more importantly work on it with the battery removed.
There is a square block of wires (five I think) connected to it, you can be sure that's the motor by disconnecting the block of wires and testing for power with a multimeter. Should be no power with the wiper switch in the off position, and 12volts on several of the wires with the wiper set to high speed. The actual function of the wires in the various positions of the switch is typical over-complicated jaguar so look around elsewhere for that information.
Good luck.

All fuses are under the dash on the driver side.
hope this can help a little.i had to replace my attena motor in my 92 xj6.and to do that i had to remove the rear light casing in the boot to be able to remove the carpet to get to the motor.then its a case of unplugging the wires undoing the motor casing. you can now access the attena. bearing in mind my version is newer so it may not be the same.(92 xj6)
