∙ 12y agoi have a mazda 1994 626 v6 24 valve car and i think the timing belt just broke where are all the timing marks crank shaft and cams?
Put the crank shaft at TDC. There is a dot on one of the crank gear teeth. It should be pointing toward the cam gear. Put the cam gear on without the chain. Turn the cam until the hole in the cam gear is pointing toward the crank. In other words, the hole in the cam gear and the dot on the crank gear should be in line. Then simply remove cam gear and apply the chain. The computer does the fine timing. Nothing to adjust.
This what you are looking for?>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
under the crank pulley, right side of car under front of engine
Chain
When timing the timing belt you use the mark for top dead center on the crank. To do that you will have to do a few different steps.
did you take out all six bolts? sometimes they rust to the shaft be carefull i had to brake the shaft to get one off then pull the timing cover to replace the broken gear
That would be a long shaft water pump.
Chain.
It is behind the Timing Cover. Torwards the crank pulley.
You are changing the timing belt and you need o know where the timing marks are for the cam shaft and the crankshaft on a 1994 corolla Also how do you align the marks to put engine in time?
94 has a Chain..
