Drain the coolant down. Remove the upper radiator hose at the engine end. Remove the bolts holding the thermostat housing. Remove the housing and the thermostat. Clean the housing and the intake manifold and install the new thermostat and gasket. Reinstall the hose and refill the radiator. Should be located in a removable housing at the engine end of the upper radiator hose Drain about 1 gallon of coolant from the radiator
Remove this housing
Note how thermostat is installed
Clean both surfaces
Replace thermostat and gasket
Re-fill coolant slowly to prevent an airlock
Start engine and look for leaks
Run engine to normal operating temperature with heater on
Re-check coolant level
Located just below thermostat
It is located in the thermostat housing on top of the motor.
It is located under intake of the throttle body left hand side of the motor connected to the large radiator hose.
follow the top radiator hose to the engine. it should be under the cover where the hose attaches to the motor. follow the hose on top the raditor , it will lead you to the thermostat

drivers side, tucked behind the exhaust tunnel on the side of the motor, follow the radiator hose to it. they are tuff to change
It is located near the front of the motor, near the thermostat, screwed into the block.
The thermostat on a 1998 Isuzu Trooper is located on the front of the motor. It is in the top radiator hose where it connects to the motor. To access the thermostat, the hose needs to be disconnected from the motor.
The thermostat is located on the driver side under the throttle body intake manifold, or just find the biggest hose coming up from the bottom of your radiator and going to the motor about 2" hose it is difficult to change, you have to remove the air box
The thermostat on a 1995 Saturn SL1 is located on top of the motor. The largest hose coming off the radiator will have to be loosened to access the thermostat housing on the motor.
If you get under your car, look between the transmission oil pan and the motor. It is in the rear of the block of your motor. If you have the tools it won't be difficult just dont do it when the motor is hot.
It is screwed into the housing for the thermostat at the front of the motor. It is a brass sensor. see link.
