where the top radiator hose meets the engine there is a small housing, the thermostats inside. The brass screw on top of this housing is where you bleed the air from the cooling system after replacing it and refilling the system. Be sure not to overtighten it after you screw it back together or you can snap the top off of it (brass is soft)
You need to replace the entire assembly . done mine 2 ours joe
Can you show me a diagram of the upstream oxygen sensor on a 3.5l liter Oldsmobile Intrigue engine?
The oxygen sensor on a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue 3.3 liter is in the exhaust manifold/pipes
The 3.5 Liter motor was optional in 1999. From 2000-2002 the only motor offered was the 3.5 L.
beneath a plate that's bolted on,first thing you see when standing in front of car looking at engine
Where is thermostat on 97 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme 3.1 Liter. How hard is it remove.
take the thermostat out and the try it
I have a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue 3.5 liter, I will like to know were the Timing chain marks.
A 3.8 of the same series from any GM Division. 3.4 do not share the same bolt pattern. 3.5 Intrigue engines are only in certain Intrigues and Auroras, and do not share the bolt battern with 3.8s. But this comes from someone who has put a 455 Toro in the rear of an S10, and a W-41 in a Fiero. Anything goes in anything if you are creative. :)
The thermostat on a 1999 2,4 liter Grand Am is located on the side of the engine. The thermostat is on the drivers side of the engine a few inches from the top.Ê
I just had that problem with my 1998 olds, it is either the thermostat, the water pump, or your fans are not working to cool down the engine. narrow it down by starting with the thermostat, then check to see if your cooling fan fuse is not burned out, then go to autozone and they will check your water pump for free. 1. Thermostat on the 3.5 Liter V6 is located on the right front of the engine just above the alternator. 2. Disconnect 2 small hoses and radiator hose from the thermostat housing. 3. Remove the 2 10mm bolts that fasten the thermostat housing to the engine block. 4. Remove the thermostat housing from the engine block. 5. The new thermostat comes installed in a new housing and is usually a dealer only stocked item. 6. Install new thermostat and housing unit and fasten with 2 10mm bolts. Do not over torque! 7. Re-install hoses. 8. Top up coolant, start up the engine and check for leaks. 9. Let engine reach operating temperature. 10. When engine has cooled sufficiently, recheck coolant level.
