the thermostat is located on the top of your engine. there is a radiator hose coming from the top of the engine to the top of the radiator. on the engine where the radiator hose connects there are two bolts. with the engine cool, remove those two bolts. the thermostat is underneath the water goose neck....remember how it came out so you put the new one back in..and also remember to clean off old gasket, and install new gasket and apply a light film of silicon gasket sealer on new gasket, and lightly snug down bolts....start up and check for leaks!! that should fix it!!
7.3L turbo
What Year model
I assume that's the 351 Windsor that has the thermostat mounted vertically in the end of the intake manifold ( The 351 modified and the Cleveland versions have the thermostat mounted horizontally into the engine block )
Do this with the engine cold. At the base of the neck of the top radiator hose there are two bolts. Take those two bolts out and the thermostat is right there. lift it out and put the new one in. Then put the radiator hose back on and check the coolant level. I just had to do this on my '89 f250.
Directions on how to replace a fuel pump on a 1995 F250 diesel 7.3
To replace the thermostat on a 1995 Ford F250, the non-working thermostat must be removed. The radiator hose must first be removed, then the non-working thermostat unbolted from the intake manifold. The area needs to be cleaned of any old seals and debris. The new seal needs to be placed in on the intake manifold. The new thermostat is then placed on top of the new seal and secured. The radiator hose is then reattached.
