When looking at the engine, the thermostat is located underneath the the radiator fill cap. There are 2 bolts to remove. Be careful not to rip or tear the gasket or make sure you have a replacement.
On the 2.7L, the thermostat is under the housing where the lower radiator hose hooks to the engine.
2.4L should be located at the engine end of the upper radiator hose On the 2.7 motor the thermostat is located at the engine side of the lower radiator hose
For the 2.7l engine, the thermostat housing is all one piece. The housing is located under the alternator and attached to the engine block.
