The thermostat is located in the thermostat housing on the top front of the intake manifold. Follow the upper rad hose from the rad to the housing. there are a few bolts that hold the housing in place. Drain the rad fluid below the upper rad hose , disconnect the hose , remove the retaining bolts and remove the thermostat from the intake. Make note of the direction it is facing. Remove all traces of the old gasket and install a new one with some rtv sealant. install the new thermostat and cover. Torque the bolts to specifications , install rad hose , fill rad with more coolant and start and run the car to check for leaks. If the thermostat is installed the wrong way you will have no heat and you will have to do this all over again!!!
The thermostat is located on the front of the engine under the elbow at the end of the radiator hose
