1. Make sure the engine is cool. 2. ***Make sure you actually replace the thermostat, driving without one will cause serious engine problems and computer problems*** 3. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. 4. Drain radiiator. 5. Disconnect the upper radiator hose (You may have to remove the alternator support bracket) from the thermostat cover. 6. Remove the bolts from the thermostat and lift cover off. 7. ***Observe how the thermostat is installed, then remove the old one and replace with a new thermostat. 8. It may be necessary to scrape the old gasket material off, do so, and replace with a new gasket. 9. Apply a little gasket sealent to ensure a secure seal on both sides of the new gasket. 10. Installation is reverse order.
