I'm definitely no mechanic but, i have a 1979 ford f100 with the original 302 in it and it doesn't have points.
( .044 inch ) according to motorcraft.com
as far as i know, the f100 is not made in the usa and the f150 is made in the usa.for example in Australia it is f100, there is no such thing as f150 over there The above is incorrect for the model year in the question 75 through 83?? or so the f100 and f150 were both available and made in USA. The difference was mostly in the rear suspension. The F150 was sprung for a heavier payload. The F150 idea was originally used to bump the 1/2 ton truck up in GVWR enough to exempt it from Catalytic Converter requirements in '75.

What other dash will fit in your 1973 F100??..... The dash from another 1973 F100. If you're asking can you put a Chevrolet dash into your Ford truck, the answer is no. However, if you are replacing a dash that's broken or damaged in some way, or you just want something different (ie: wood or some other trim from a different year) any dash from 1971 to 1979 F100 (or any F series light duty truck) should either bolt right in, or will fit with only minor modifications.
yes

Instrument clusters and dash parts from a 1973 to 1979 should work just have to know if its an A/C or non A/C dash
