The tank that supplies fluid for the windshield also supplies fluid for the rear wiper. It is located in the engine compartment.

This light indicates that the car is low on wiper fluid. To refill the wiper fluid resovuoir pop the hood and pour washer fluid in the clear tank. Note: not all cars have a wiper fluid warning light since not having any wiper fluid isn't a big deal.
The fill tank for the rear wiper fluid on a 2005 Z71 is actually the same tank as for the front windshield. If the rear washer is not working and the tank for the front is full, then there might be a problem with a fuse or a hole in the line.
Open your hood and find the windshield wiper fluid tank and drain it. The pump is located on the side of the fluid tank and is plugged in. Remove the plug and the pump output first. Pull the windshield washer fluid pump out of the tank and replace it with the new one. Hook the electric connection and the pump output and refill your fluid tank.
The windshield wiper fluid motor is located under the windshield fluid tank. You must remove the right front wheel well cover (plastic) to expose the bottom of the tank. Remove the rubber line and the electrical connection and pull the pump out. Check the rubber o-ring to make sure that it didn't tear.
