THE STARTER IS LOCATED ON THE DRIVER SIDE NEAR THE BOTTOM LEFT FENDER.ITS MOUNTED NEAR THE BOTTOM CORNER OF THE RADIATOR. The starter on my 1998 Aurora is located under the intake manifold, ON TOP OF THE ENGINE. I had to replace it last year, and it took me a while to find a mechanic who actually knew where to find it.

on the 1995 aurora to change out the starter the top end has to be pulled the starter is internal it is located on the drivers side of the engine

Remove the intake manifold. The starter is underneath.
Aurora 3.5 - the sensor is on the front of the engine, on the right side, up behind the starter. You can see it from the bottom looking up, but you have to remove the starter to get it out. The Aurora 3.5 has a single dual sensor. The Aurora 4.0 has two separate sensors.
It's under the intake manifold. Remove that & the starter is accessible.
