I'd check the tranny fluid and make sure it is full first, then maybe speed sensor speedo cable
its electric from 1995
On the bottom of the transmission with a set of wires going to it from the speedo assembly where the speedo cable is connected for a manual tranny
Speedometers are not cable driven anymore, they are electronic. You may have a faulty speed sensor.
If you have the 1.9L, you have to take the speedo cable assembly out and there will be the hole to fill your transmission fluid
all you have to do is unscrew the cable from the top of your transmission, then from behind tbe actuall speedo
Pull the speedo and gauge package out of dash. Unhook wiring. Remove speedo cable from speedometer. Pull speedo cable out of housing, lube it lightly and re-insert. Hook everything back up and re-install gauges. Pull the speedo and gauge package out of dash. Unhook wiring. Remove speedo cable from speedometer. Electronic, no cable.
There is no speedo cable on a Neon. It uses a speed sensor located on the top of the right-hand axel output housing. It is a black unit that has a clip-in two-wire connector. If your speedo inside the car isn't working that's usually the culprit.
they don't have speedo "cables". their all electric.
how do you fix the speedo cog in the dash of a 1995 ford fiestiva
you can buy a tool made for lubricating cables, at a motorcycle shop then u need to disconnect the cable from back of speedo, use the tool and lubricant then reintall cable to speedo usually tho if a speedo cable gets noisy it is worn out and about to break
