There is no DRAIN PETCOCK on the radiator , You have to pull the lower hose to drain . Thanks GM designers someone asleep at the wheel.

The radiator drain plug on a 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck with a 5.9 liter diesel engine is on the bottom inside corner of the radiator. It is on the driver's side.

let engine cool down to room temp. drain the coolant from your radiator, loosen and remove hose clamps then remove old hose. now install new hose in revers order. fill radiator with proper coolant type.
