It accessable from below, under the car or from above to the rear of the engine head. Get a Haynes or Chilton manual for you make.
The only speed sensor on the engine is inside the distributor.
In the exhaust pipe before the catalytic converter, which is right behind the engine
should be on the exhaust manifold down pipe... you need to get under the car to see it...

Sensor one is in the exhaust manifold on the back of the engine. Sensor two is in the side of the catalytic converter.
