It's in the low pressure line running along the passenger side of the engine compartment. If there is a connection there with a nut, it's inside the tube there. If the line has no connection, it is crimped in and that section has to be cut out and replaced with a repair kit, or a new line installed.
In a 1998 Mercury Villager, the mass air flow sensor is located in the air intake tube. The air intake tube goes from the air box to the intake.

There isn't a rear accumulator. There is a rear orfice tube and evaporator.
The orfice tube is located in the evaporator inlet tube. There is also an expansion valve in the rear evaporator case.
It is at the output of the condenser. Remove the passenger turn signal lense to access it.
