My sources do not list a MAT sensor for that vehicle however, they do list a MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor and it is mounted to the air cleaner.

in front of the air filter.
MAT = Manifold Absolute Temperature, Measures the temperature of the incoming air charge in the intake manifold. On the V6 Fiero this is mounted on the air cleaner canister.
Code 25 indicates a MAT sensor. In my case, I have changed the MAT sensor and several other sensors and I still have the intermittent 25 code. I am currently trying to track down a vacuum leak. (Which I should have done immediately after realizing that the sensor wasn't the problem.
the Intake Air Temperature Sensor (IAT) could also be called the Manifold Air Temperature Sensor (MAT) some instances they are both.
Do you mean MAP sensor? The Map sensor is located in the intake manifold under the plastic northstar cover. Its a little sensor that is located just to the left of the throttle body. removing this sensor requires no tools for expertise. Just unplug pull it out and replace with a new sensor.
undo the screws from inside the trunk after u pull the mat down
IAT sensor (intake air temperature) or more commonly known as the MAT (manifold air temperature) sensor is located on either the air intake snorkel or the manifold
The iat sensor is also known as the mat sensor which is the manifold air tempeture. it is located on the front of the intake manifold. its a 2wire gray plug
Unsure where you'll find the bugger, get your auto sparky to replace it (its a MAP sensor) as it can cause real headaches if it dies, engine rebuilds and such
There are several temperature sensors on the S-10. Are you talking about the Intake Air Temp (IAT)or MAT (Manifold Air Temp) sensor? are you talking about the Coolant Temp Sensor (CTS)? Are you talking about the Exhaust Gas Temp (EGT) sensor? The IAT/MAT is on the intake manifold before the throttle body. The CTS is on the front of the engine in the thermostat housing. The EGT (if equipped) is on the exhaust manifold close to the head. (So's the O2 sensor)
