On a 2000 Ford F-150 , 5.4 :
The Mass Air Flow sensor is between the engine air filter
and the engine air intake tube
It is INSIDE a round shaped plastic housing
there is no MAP, it has a MAF sensor ( mass air flow ) its in the big round plastic tube behind the air cleaner
It will be located on the air intake tube after the air filter and before the mass air flow sensor.
The mass air flow sensor is located directly in the engine compartment. The MAF measures the temperature of the air and the amount of air entering the engine.
The IAT Sensor is attached to the Mass Air Flow Sensor that is attached to your air filter box.
Its on or in the "tube" going from your air filter to intake. It will be on the engine side of the air cleaner assembly.
Answer: Most mass air flow sensors are located on the air intake AFTER the air filter. They vary in size, most are the size of a golf ball.
this is NOT the mass air flow sensor but this is a 20 second fix, it is located on the tube between the air filter box and engine on the firewall side of the tube

The mass air flow sensor (MAF) is located on the driver's side of the engine near the battery. It is mounted into the top of the plastic intake tube.
your mass air flow sensor is located at the top of your air filter where it connects to the engine. to replace it you remove the two screws unplug the sensor and pull it out and just reconnect the new one in.
The mass air flow sensor is the big, black, "T" looking part located between the filter box and the throttle body on the top right side of the engine.
