I have a 2002 Dodge 1500 van, the ldp is located under the hood, under the windshield washer tank or just above the Power Steering gear box.
Right front fender, under the hood. Next to the evap solenoid.
The LDP (Leak Detection Pump) is located above the fuel tank. You'll have to remove the fuel tank to get to it.
It is under the fuse box/battery tray.
fix the leak
where and what is a leak detection pump pressure solenoid on my 97' dodge caravan? On my 1998 Dodge Stratus, it is tucked in between the underside of the car and the fuel tank.
Yes, it can rule out an actual leak as a cause for a fault code and can be used to see if the pump itself is leaking.
In the pump, connected to the carbon canister, under the cargo bed, infron of the fuel tank
Trouble code P0442 means: Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (small leak)
leak detection pump solenoid, part of your emissions, check for leaks in your hose or a break in a while around the pump
Leak Detection Pump? I'm gonna monitor this one 'cause I didn't know there was such a thing. Leak for what? Light on dash? Check your reservoirs? Hmmmmmm.
The leak detection pump switch on your Dodge Intrepid is located beneath the battery. If you can not locate this on your own, it may be best to have a licensed mechanic take a look at it.
The leak detection pump is next to the steering gear, under the van, below the driver side floor board.
