It is located under the intake manifold, bolted to the middle of the engine block. With the hood open, standing by the drivers side front tire,you can see it by shining a flashlight at the opening under the intake manifold. There will be a wiring harness running to the knock sensor and the sensor is held in with one bolt (12MM as I recall). It is round and black, a little larger in diameter than a quarter. It is possible to replace this without removing the intake manifold, but it is difficult. Wear mechanics gloves if you attempt this since you will definitely cut your hand on the sharp edges of the engine block. Good luck.
