I have a 1993 Ranger that I bought new and have kept extensive records of everything about it. It has a 2.3 engine and after 82148 miles my overall average has been 22.589 miles per gallon with probably 98% of the miles being driven around town. I have kept a record of every tank of gas that has ever been in this vehicle.
Depending on if there were any mods to the car to begin with. Other than that, yes it should fit. Ford pretty much kept the Ranger the way it was from the late 80's to the early 90's. Until it had to compete with Chevy

on a Chevrolet express van 3500 where is the tire jack kept at?
inside back seat
The jack is kept in a large leather-like bag in the rear compartment. Basically, if you don't see it while looking around in the rear of the van, you don't have one.
