This may or may not help. My '96 has an interior trunk release lever located on the floor between the driver's seat and the door sill. I don't know how long Pontiac located the release there.
most GM cars have the button inside the glove box.
in the glove box
There's a black cord inside the trunk on the top left.
There is a lever to the left of the driver's seat by the door and on the floor. Pull to release the trunk, push to release the gas cover door.
Sunfire trunk lid bulbsOn the 2000 Sunfire and similar models it appears the entire red and black cover that is mounted on the trunk lid must be removed from inside of trunk lid by removing 8 nuts which are visible through holes in the interior of the lid .The tail light, brake and signal all take a 3057 bulb GM number or a CTC 3157.
No. Key or keyfob button only
in the trunk where your spare wheel
it seem to be the trunk plastic is broke and I have brought the the part and wont to fix it
If the actuator cable breaks then the key and the interior release both don't work. It needs to be replaced. If your trunk has a manual release inside then you can pull the back seats down and reach in to release it. Then undo one screw in the interior handle and pop out the plastic covering on the trunk. Then you will be able to see the cables. Good luck. Check out youtube.
I don't know if this will be any help or not .. my car is a couple of years newer than yours. My trunk release is a lever located on the floor between the driver's seat and the door sill. Maybe your's is similar? FriPilot
Look to the left side of the driver's seat on the floor. There should be a lever between the seat and the door sill.
