A diagram of the heater core of a 2001 GMC Jimmy can be found in the service manual. It outlines the location of all the components and how they are connected.
Normally between $800 - $1,000..its 80% labor & 20% part..
Yep and the core is a pain to replace.
hi, i need to know how to replace the heater core with a/c on a 1994 gmc jimmy. a diagram would be helpful
Disconnect them from heater core and with a coupling and 2 hose clamps tie them together
When removing and replacing a heater core, it is important to have a diagram. This diagram for the given can be found in its maintenance manual.
The heater core is inside the HVAC (Heater, Ventilation & Air Conditioning) assembly which is located behind the dash assembly. The dash assembly has to be removed to gain access to the HVAC assembly which has to be remove to gain access to the heater core. Big Job. I recommend a repair manual to walk you through this one.
Passenger side floor? Could be leaking heater core
Low coolant? Bad thermostat? Heater core plugged, restricted, or airbound? Temperature control cable not working?
go to autozone.com. and click on the heater core part for your sonoma. then there should be an install manual button u click on on the page. i have a 98 gmc wit a heater core out also. i think the 97 models you just have to take off the dash.
