All Fieros have the fuel pump inside the fuel tank By the way you may be having trouble because there was no fiero in 1977, production was from 1984 to 1988 so your car is probably a 1987
The fuel pump relay should be located in the engine compartment directly behind the drivers seat location. There will be two or three relays, one of which is the the fuel pump relay. You should disconnect battery before attempting to service the relay.
Fuel pump in a Fiero is electric. It's in the gas tank. Gas tank's in the middle of the car. Drop the tank. Pull the pump.
no but it can stop the fuel pump from running.
the fuel pump is in the fuel tank. you can access to it by the top of the fuel tank once it's removed.
The Fiero Fuel Pump Pulsator is located in the fuel tank connecting the fuel pump to the tube leading out to the engine. It has a rubber insert that connects both tubes (the pump being one of them) It is supposed to smooth the fuel flow but many have yet to determine a difference if it is removed.
the fuel tank has to be dropped from the car to access it.
There is no fuel reset button on a Fiero. Not electrical or mechanical. All fieros have an electrical fuel pump located in the fuel tank. The fuel pump will run when you first turn the key to start. It will run for 10 seconds. After that time the fuel pump will continue to run only if the oil pressure switch shows the engine has oil pressure (ie, the engine is running). You should be able to hear the fuel pump relay click (located on the firewall behind the driver) and the fuel pump run, by just turning the key to the on position.
AC and fuel pump are the same relay
all fieros have it in the gas tank
An oil pump Or do you mean the type?
The location of the fuel pump depends on which engine the car has. If it is the 2.5L 4 cylinder fuel injected engine the fuel pump is in the fuel tank. If it is the carburetted 2.8L V6 the fuel pump is on the lower part of the engine block on the radiator side of the engine.
