fuse type wire to fan moter under hood on a 1994 geo metro, what is it?
Not sure about the 1997 but on the 1994 the fan coolant sensor is located on the water inlet pipe behind the water pump. You should see an electrical connector. There is also an engine cooling temperature switch (ECT) mounted on the thermostat housing, also with an electrical connector.
If you are referring to the Blower Motor, then there is a fuse and a Blower Motor Resistor Pack. If you are referring to the Radiator Fan Motor then there is a fuse and a thermal sensor. Please restate the question you want answered in a clearer manner.
This was for a 1994 but try searching here. How do you Change a fan belt on 94 prizm?
Check the fuse that controls the Fan first. If that's ok, then check the connections to the fan assembly.
There is a separate circuit on models that have air so it probably feeds thru there. If the coolant sensor/switch is not calling for the fan to come on (usually 194 degrees F) it won't come on. The fan does not run as must as you think it should.
Its on the thermostat housing by the upper radiator hose
The radiator fan will start to work once your engine reaches a certain operating temperature.
