If your car has the 2.5L engine. The EGR valve is located directly under the coolant fill cap & pipe. The EGR has a long metal tube that goes from the EGR valve to the upper intake plenum.
You can't really clean the EGR valve. If it's faulty, it simply needs to be replaced. -Jesse
Underneath the airbox in the engine compartment. Go to www.autozone.com and look up the EGR valve. They have pictures of it so you know what you are looking for. Hope this helps!
