if it's the same drive train i don't see why not. ie; same size engine and same transmission. Most likely no, they are too far apart in years.
A 1997 Wrangler doesn't have a BCM. (body control module) It does have a PCM (powertrain control module) which is behind the battery.
It is in front of your left Knee cap only under the hood as you sit in the drivers seat. It is located behind the Windsheils washer reservior on the firewall. And no the PCM or computer is Engine specfic and not interchangeable.
It is there to detect detonation or ( knocking ) and the information is used to adjust timing by the pcm.
Yes, the Pcm memory will be cleared with each disconnect.
It means the battery has been disconnected from the pcm with in the last 50 key on cycles
I own a 92 and a 93 and no governor on either and I have never heard of one on any jeep The PCM (engine computer) will limit top speed.
Powertrain Control Module The computer on the passenger firewall, it controls all the sensors, meaning the crankcase, camshaft sensor and son on
If the Pcm sets a code saying that it's companion has dtc, you need to check the Ecm because it will have a code in it.If the Pcm sets a code saying that it's companion has dtc, you need to check the Ecm because it will have a code in it.
P1694 - No CCD message received from ECM. This is a bus communication failure between the PCM and ECMP1694 - No CCD message received from ECM. This is a bus communication failure between the PCM and ECM
PCM, powertrain conrol module.
Either the PCM, or ECM will have another code in it. Diagnose and repair that code and the companion dtc set code will go away.Either the PCM, or ECM will have another code in it. Diagnose and repair that code and the companion dtc set code will go away.
