On my 1999 Buick Regal the DRL module is located on the outside foot well behind the parking brake pedal under the carpet. My DRL has gone bad and is making the car quit.
It is the headlight drive module. It is used for daytime running lights and low beam operation. It works in conjunction with the light sensor on top of your dash that senses how much light is available, and tells your lights to come on or your drl. You have to have lights on automatic.

After considerable deliberation on this subject I have discovered that the Buick Rainer has a range of price. However, I have found a 2006 Buick Rainer CXL 2WD for an estimated price of $13214.00.
I believe it is up against the firewall, just above brake pedal on the left. It is approximently the size of a cigarette pack, black in colour. It has two (2) wiring harness connections. Good Luck!!
Check the multifunction switch in the column first as it controls both high & low beams, as well as check the daytime running light module if so equipped.
I believe there isn't one, i have a '91 LeSabre and it doesnt have one. 87- 91 Lesabres are exactly the same cars, so it seems like you have a problem with your headlight staying on all the time. If that's the problem then i cant help you.
